Rather than developing new materials, it was easier to look for existing sustainable materials. Adjusting the design made it manufacturable.
In ideation and development parts are made from recycled paper, thus from conception to production Paper Shades adopts a low carbon approach.

Weighing only 40g (0.04kg) including the packaging, orders literally get shipped in a mailing envelope. The smaller the package, the greater potential for reducing carbon footprint during transportation.
